Ok I know Halloween is still a couple months away, but with school starting and a wedding, I know it will sneak up on me pretty quick..

Anyone have any cute ideas?
A tiger:
you'll need: orange sweat suit, a baseball cap, some black fabric paint, a paintbrush, black yarn, two googly eyes and a permanent marker. Once you’ve gathered all of your supplies, just paint black stripes all over the sweat suit, and set it aside to dry. Then to complete the look, add black stripes to an orange baseball cap, and glue on a few pieces of black thread or yarn for whiskers. Add two googly eyes and a hand drawn mouth
Lamb:
you'll need: a white sweat suit, a few packages of cotton balls and some fabric glue. To complete this project just glue cotton balls all over the top and bottom of a sweat suit
Dragon:
you'll need:
a pair of green, sleeper pajamas; and glue triangles of green felt all along the backside. (Fabric glue will work perfectly for this step.) Then, complete the look by gluing more felt scales to a green ski hat or baseball cap.
Best for last:
Super baby!!
Purchase a leotard or onesie in your chosen color, and then just iron the first letter of your child’s name onto the front of the top. (Check your local craft or fabric store for a wide selection of iron-on letters and decals. You may also be able to find letters with adhesive backing if you’d like to forgo the ironing.) Then, dress your child up in tights and the leotard, and finish by securing a cape to the back of the costume with safety pins.
Halloween costumes for newborns?
I work at a Halloween store and we have a good selection of baby and toddlers costumes, but not a very good selection of newborn costumes. My baby will be a little over a month when Halloween rolls around. Do you know of any sites with cute NEWBORN costumes, or have any ideas of something him and I can be together? I could always make him a costume.
Im going too do the same thing for my sons costum that my mom did for my little sister when she was a newborn, get a plain white onesie and sew some black spots on it and then get some black sweat pants, he has lots of both, and sew some white spots on that, then take a white hat and sew 2 black socks on it. and add white spots, and ta da its a dalmation. xD

My born-again christian friend is mad that I'm buying my baby a Halloween costume, why???
I have a friend I am very close to and she is a born-again christian and attends a bible fellowship church. I tried to go with her, but don't agree with some things. I have a one year old baby boy and I told her I had to get a Halloween costume for him and she got very upset & is coming over tomorrow to show me a movie and give me literature about Halloween. She says it is satans holiday and I am committing evil before lord. She also says no Santa Claus, just tell baby it is birthday of Jesus and no Easter Bunny, tell baby Easter is only to celebrate that Jesus has died & risen. I say these holidays are for the kiddies & I will not change my mind on this. I love Halloween, love to give out candy & see the costumes. I'll take baby to see Santa & Easter Bunny & hide eggs. Why would the folks at her church take away this joy from their kids????What is up with this???
Many Christians are against Halloween and think it celebrates the devil. But atitudes vary even in the born-again Christian community. Some celebrate in different ways, some "witness" to trick-or-treaters, etc.

That said, he's *your* kid and it's *your* life and if you think he'd look just darling in a little black kitten costume, there's nothing at all evil or anti-Christian about it. And she's being awfully pushy and invasive. Tell her you won't tell her how to raise her kids if she leaves yours alone.
Need help on how to construct a Halloween costume.?
My daughter wants to be a baby in a baby carriage for Halloween. The baby costume is easy, but I'm trying to figure out the best and lightest way to construct what would look like a carriage that she can walk in but looks like it has wheels. You've seen costumes before that are store bought that look like a kid driving Thomas the Tank or riding a horse. Something of that nature but a homemade version of a carriage.
Since this is a one shot deal, I'd make it out of a cardboard box.Get one that is rectangular shaped. Fold in all the flaps to the inside for stability.Paint the carriage body on the box.Cut the wheels out of fomcore board and attach to the sides. For the hood use tag board. You'll probably have to attach 2 sheets together and fiddle some to get the shape right. For the handle, use the foam insulation that goes around pipes, cut to length and attached to either side. Now for the hard to explain part. Stand her inside the box, holding the thing in the right place, mark where shoulder straps(using ribbon or some such thing) would be.She'll have to stand about in the middle for proper balance with the hood in the back and the handle in the front. Once you have the proper lenght for the straps, construct them out of some sturdy material.Attach firmly.Try on again and find out where to attach the cross straps to keep it all on her shoulders (think the letter"H" or how a bra works). Hopefully by now she hates the idea and wants to go out as a fairy! Before you start, take her to Party City to see the costumes. She'll change her mind.

I am looking for very creative baby & kids halloween costume ideas.?
Please give me any ideas that would be modest and fun and safe and very creative. I do sew , so i can make costumes, so anotherwords, your ideas do not have to be store bought items. We go to carnivals that have judging and i'd like to enter this year. So the more creative and simple (er) ideas the funner and better our halloween will be. AGES 0 - 15 / unisex ideas would be great. ** I need to start making my costumes by Oct. 1st.
